IT’S Vision specialises in the development and manufacture of electro-optical, infrared and thermal camera systems for applications in defence, security and industrial automation. From night-vision systems and high-dynamic-range cameras to multispectral and fusion systems: our solutions are deployed in situations where reliability and performance are of crucial importance.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for an enthusiastic: Research & Systems Engineer

What will you be doing?

The Research & Systems Engineer is responsible for researching, designing and integrating complex systems within advanced camera and observation systems. The role focuses on analysing technical challenges, developing prototypes, and advising engineering teams on system architecture and integration.

Your duties will include:

• Researching new technologies and components for use in camera systems.
• Designing system architectures and integration plans for hardware and software components.
• Carrying out simulations, analyses and experiments to evaluate system behaviour.
• Developing and testing prototypes and proof-of-concepts.
• Advising engineering teams on system choices, trade-offs and optimisations.
• Documenting research results, analyses and system designs.
• Collaborating with clients on technical evaluations and functional specifications.
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of systems and development processes.

Who are we looking for?

You are a hands-on engineer who enjoys working in an innovative environment where development, testing, production and service are closely interlinked.

You also have:

• HBO/WO level of working and thinking.
• Good knowledge of systems engineering, modelling, development and integration of hardware and software components within embedded systems.
• Practical understanding of optical, electronic and sensor technologies, with a particular preference for infrared and thermal applications.
• Strong ability to systematically, accurately and pragmatically structure and resolve complex technical issues.
• Results-oriented and collaborative within multidisciplinary teams, combined with a curious and innovative attitude towards new technologies.
• Good communication skills with clients and strong ability to present and document research findings and recommendations clearly.
• Ervaring met camera-, sensor-, vision- of embedded systemen is een pré, maar geen vereiste.
